When one more becomes chasing

Spot the urge to recover a loss, and create room to pause.

The pressure to get back

Chasing losses means continuing or increasing gambling to recover what was lost. NHS and GambleAware guidance identify it as a warning sign of gambling harm, not a way to repair a result.

The next decision is separate

Money already lost does not improve the next bet. Taking a bigger risk can add to losses. Ask whether you would make the same choice if you were not trying to get back to where you started.

Make space

Pause instead of raising the stake. Step away, talk to someone you trust, and seek support if gambling causes worry, affects daily life, or feels hard to stop. This prototype uses virtual coins; real-world gambling can cause financial and emotional harm.

Take this with you

You do not have to recover a loss by taking another risk.
